Congratulations to associate professor Rick Gerhold for winning the Boeringher Ingelheim Faculty Research Mentoring Award at the UT College of Veterinary Medicine’s Research Day.
Along with his own award, Gerhold serves as faculty mentor to three student award winners: Nicole Szafranksi, winning first place in the graduate student category; Eliza Baker, winning second place in the graduate student category; and Julie Bedwani, winner of the Phi Zeta Award for Excellence in Animal Health Research.
Research Day is an annual event hosted by the College. The event provides an opportunity for students and researchers to gain experience showcasing their work as oral presentations. It also helps kickstart new ideas, collaborations, and networking among researchers.
